Route 2 Athletics is dedicated to help players of all ages learn the game of baseball and to reach their full potential . We believe in teaching and building upon the fundamentals of baseball and helping grow the game at the youth level in surrounding areas. We offer numerous training options such as private instruction, small group instruction, camps, clinics, and travel teams. In addition, we offer tailor made programs for local youth baseball programs. All of our programs are offered at our indoor facility located at 30 Park Ave, Arlington, MA or local baseball fields.

2020 Fall Pitching Program
Run by Dan Metzdorf (White Sox) and Matt Keough (BPE Baseball)
This program is designed to strengthen and protect the throwing arm and shoulder.
The Focus during workouts is to create the proper muscle memory, starting from the lower half up and creating a HEALTHY arm path, increasing accuracy and velocity all while reducing stress and help with injury prevention.
The program will help pitchers develop and fine tune their pitch selection and design
Muscle memory is one of the most important aspects in the game of baseball, in order to create proper mechanics, a pitcher (baseball player) needs to throw more than 1 time a week if they want to have success and stay healthy!
Concentrated Areas will include:
Pre & Post Throw arm care: Mobility / J-Bands / Arm Patterning / Arm Strength
Lower Half mechanics: and setting the kinetic chain from the ground up.
Proper Arm Path and Pattering: Pocket Whip & Stick
Player Video assessment and break down week one of program:
Allowing players to know key focal points in to work during their own progression (every player is different)
Development of Pitch Grips and Design
Analytic Data using Pitch Logic and Diamond Kinetics.
